Hastings Mich. - Hastings, a worldwide manufacturer of hot line tools and equipment, understands that every day has the potential to bring the unexpected to lineman. That is why Hastings designs every product, including our mechanical jumping clamps and insulated cables, with safety in mind.
Hastings' mechanical jumper clamps and insulated cables improve installation on power lines to keep linemen safe. Our assemblies are manufactured using computer-controlled equipment to ensure consistent and quality assembly on every order.
Mechanical jumper clamps from Hastings are easy to install and available in two sizes. Their thrust bearing design provides low friction for tightening clamps while a serrated contact surface on bronze clamping rings ensure good electrical contact with conductors. Conductor clamps are machined from brass alloy for precision and lineman safety. Handles are available in a yellow polyolefin and clear plastic material, both featuring grip tabs for easy use with rubber gloves.
Insulated jumper cables form Hastings are flexible even at low temperatures and have extra flexible copper stranding. Available in 15, 25, and 35 KV, conductive strand shields found in these cables improve service life, dielectric strength, and eliminate internal corona.
Insulated with mold-cured ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), the cables resist abrasion, heat, moisture, and ultra-violet rays.
